Lots of "firsts"

01/11/08: I sat up all by myself (for about 15 seconds); but Mommy says if I
keep practicing I'll be a pro in no time! Check back for updates about how well I'm doing!

01/15/08: My first sink bath. I loved it! I was splashing the
water EVERYWHERE & I could sit up pretty well in that sink all by myself!!

01/014/08: Rolling over with confidence. Although, little Cameron rolled over for the first time on Christmas Eve...he is getting much quicker and able to do it with very little effort!

01/05/08: I took my first "big" boy walk with Mommy, Daddy, and Sadie.
I got to sit up in my stroller...who needs those baby seats anyway!?
01/06/08: I got to eat Sweet Potatoes! As you can see from my smile....
I LOVED every bite!! Since then, I've got to eat peas and pears. I loved the peas, but I still don't know that to think about those pears! Mommy will post a video soon of my first reaction to pears. Check it out!!

4 month updates

If you can believe it, Cameron is already 4 and a half months old! Man, how time flies!! We just had our 4 month check-up with the pediatrician....and things are looking GREAT!! He weighed in at 18.5 lbs. and measured almost 28 inches, both in the 95 percentile!! In case you were wondering, that equals 9 and 12 month size clothing.....goodness gracious!! Anyway, everything else went as planned. He had his 4 month shots, which seemed a little more tramatic than the 2 month shots...although it was the same number and type of shots. He gave a much more dramatic and painful reaction this time & it took us a little longer to calm him down. However, just as with anything...he bounced right back to his happy self within the hour.

On the other hand, he's had a fever on and off for the past few days. We're not sure if it's related to the shots, if he's fighting off a cold, or if he is starting to teethe? I guess only time will tell......

Onto more exciting news:
The pediatrician also gave us the green light to start baby foods with him! YAY! However, because, his face is still recovering from a bad breakout of eczema, we're going to wait until we get that completely cleared up before we start foods...just so we can clearly detect any food allergies. Look for upcoming pictures of Cameron's adventures into the world of yummy food. We can tell he is ready and wants food. He watches EVERYTHING that goes into our mouths during dinner and often takes it upon himself to reach over and grab anything in sight.......taking it directly to his mouth. Just one example is this evening during dinner, he went after a strawberry and licked it all over while trying to take a bite! SILLY BOY! :)

I'm still trying to figure out how to download pictures from my new camera, so I'll post updated 4 month pictures, pictures of Christmas, and pictures of Cameron playing with all his new toys this weekend.

Until next time.....

We enjoyed Cameron's 1st Christmas in North Carolina with lots of family, presents, and fun! It goes without saying that our little guy was showered with gifts from Santa, grandparents, and other family. Our living room looks like a mini Toys R Us right now!! :) He can't wait to get home and play with all his new toys. Although he needed a little help from Mommy & Daddy, Cameron helped open presents ripping right through the paper....accompanied by laughter, giggling, and lots of talking. We'll post video and more pictures of Christmas soon....

Ripping right through the wrapping paper....giving us all that adorable "talking" to go with it!

Cameron playing with his new baby piano....one of his favorites!

Check out that concentration!!

Cameron VERSUS rice cereal

Well, our little guy had his first taste of rice cereal. He wasn't sure that he liked it, but enjoyed using the spoon to "feed" himself. Although, we aren't giving the cereal to him on a daily basis yet...he has started to enjoy the times we are giving him a little taste. He basically throws his entire body forward towards the spoon when he sees it. It is ADORABLE. The pictures show Cameron doing his best to use the spoon and feed himself. The other is a post-cereal feeding from another meal. So, in the battle of Cameron VS. rice cereal...who do you think the winner is?

Almost there..................................................................................................

...............................................................................................................................SUCCESS!
