A look back....

Nope, it isn't Flashback Friday---it's Flashback WEEK. We just had a wonderful weekend celebrating Cameron's birthday...so I thought I would take this week to reflect and look back at the wonderful journey through parenthood that Ryan and I have enjoyed for the past 2 years. Wow, 2 years....I cannot BELIEVE it! Time sure does fly. I guess the saying, "they grow up quickly....enjoy every second and memory while you can," really is true! I know everyone thinks they have the perfect child, but believe me...we really do! We are very thankful to all the wonderful support from the many loving grandparents....don't know what we would do without you!!!

So, what can you expect this week?? Stay tuned...to enjoy a walk through Cameron's first 2 years of life....sure to bring on the smiles, a few tears, and a maybe even a laugh out loud!

Flashback Friday! :)

So sorry Flashback Friday is a few days late. The site has been "updating" since Thursday morning. Here we go....waaaaaaaaaay back! Flashback to Daddy as a baby. :) I think everyone knows I have "baby fever," so I've been looking back at old pictures and love seeing pictures of me and Ryan b/c I can TOTALLY see Cameron in all of them! :) ENJOY!

I'm sure I'll see one of these in my house at some point in the near future.....just not sure which one of you lovely grandparents are going to be the ones to fill our walls with lovely music!

Now we can see where little Mr. Attitude came from...haha!

Cameron has finally mastered riding his tricycle! He still resorts to the "Fred Flinstone" method at times, but does a great job pedaling his feet! Yay, Cameron! :)

My big boy bed!

I got my big boy bed today and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The following pictures were taken around 5:00....not even close to bedtime and we could barely get him to come downstairs for dinner.

Cameron getting his bed ready for night night....with a total of 3 blankets, 2 pillows, 3 Elmos, 1 Ernie, 1 Shamu, 1 singing caterpillar, and 2 books. Haha! :)

Reading one of his books to Mommy. He wouldn't let me sit beside him in the bed...he said, "no, no Mommy." Then, as I was cleaning the rest of the room. He tried to push me out of the room saying, "night night Mommy. bye bye" Hope it goes this smooth tonight!

Flashback Friday!

In following other blogs of friends, I came across this idea of Flashback Friday and LOVED it! The basic idea is that every Friday I will post old pictures and past events for us all to enjoy. Some pictures/videos may have already been posted, other will be new! Any feedback would be appreciated :)

This week I choose to highlight one of our trips to Delaware last Spring. Ryan had to work at the new HT stores several weekends, so Cameron and I followed along for a weekend getaway to the beach! Why not?? This particular trip was only the 4 of us. We had a blast! This trip was also the time that Cameron first pulled up to his knees, started to show signs of crawling, was about the ONLY time in his life that he liked a pacifier. I remember he was all about his pacifier for this ONE weekend trip, then didn't care for it anymore once we got home. :) ENJOY!

It was too cold to play on the beach, but we took many walks on the pier. Cameron loved watching the ocean and all the wind! :)

We've been busy and on the go lately, so haven't had much time for updates and pictures. Here are a few pictures taken this week...ENJOY!

Cameron loves to help me cook and mix things together in the kitchen, so we made Rice Krispie treats this week. He was very gentle with each marshmallow, placing only a few at a time in the bowl....:)

We had absolutely NO way to take pictures while we were spreading the mixture into the pan...it was WAY too messy and our hands were very sticky. Cameron asked to put balls (a.k.a. sprinkles) on our finished product. This was by far is FAVORITE part!

The weather has actually been very nice lately, so we've spent lots of time outside this week. We go on several walks around the neighborhood and to the park daily. On this trip, Cameron asked to go to the park with his favorite ride, the police car. Here we are cruising up the street! I love this shot!

After riding the car all the way to the park & playing, he only made it a little over half way home before he decided he was too tired to drive his car anymore. He wanted me to carry him the rest of the way. We snapped a quick shot together on the *long* heavy walk home! :)

Last night after dinner, Cameron was in a very SILLY mood! He was giggling, playing peek-a-boo, and hide-n-seek, all while running around in circles :) This picture quality isn't that great, but it was absolutely adorable watching him and Ryan play peek-a-boo together. :)
